Architect and designer, Ilaria Marelli opened her own laboratory of ideas in 2004 with the "Ilaria Marelli Studio", working on product, interior and staging design, and providing strategy and trend consulting in the design industry. She is also a professor of industrial design at the Politecnico di Milano, collaborating with POLI.design on applied research.
In 2007, Ilaria Marelli was appointed by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage to be a member of the first Italian Design Council and, in 2008, she received the MILANODONNA Award for Design and Architecture from mayor Letizia Moratti for her contribution to the cultural growth of Milan.
