With his suspension lamp Nuvola (cloud in Italian), Mario Bellini pioneered the modern trend in illuminating objects made of plastic. With great insight and creativity he designed this "floating mass of light", capable of shedding light effectively yet unobtrusively.

Designed in 1974 to coincide with the launch campaign of the designer’s Pianeta Ufficio – the office furniture system manufactured by Bellini for Marcatrè - the lamp has been revisited in terms of size and is now produced on an industrial scale by Nemo.
