The Kelvin LED is designed with a double pantograph arm with remarkable positioning flexibility and a 359-degree swiveling head, which includes LEDs and a diffuser. It provides an ample spread of direct light in a thoughtfully engineered, energy efficient design. When the green mode is activated, the light output is regulated depending on the amount of light on the surface for optimal reading while reducing consumption. Kelvin's ON/OFF switch is electronic with the optical mechanism located in the head. This efficient lamp is perfect when used as an office desk lamp or task light but also works as a stylish bedside or regular table lamp.

Antonio Citterio was born in Meda, Italy in 1950. He started his design office in 1972, and graduated in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic in 1975. Between 1987 and 1996 he worked in association with Terry Dwan and, together, they created buildings in Europe and Japan.
In 1999, with Patricia Viel, he founded "Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners". The studio operates at international level developing complex long-term projects, all scales and in synergy with a qualified network of specialist consultants.

In 1987 and in 1995 Antonio Citterio received the Compasso d’Oro-ADI award. Since 2006 he has been an architectural design instructor at the Università della Svizzera Italiana, Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio.

In 2008 he was honored by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce of London, which gave him the title of Royal Designer for Industry. He's currently working in the industrial design sector with Italian and foreign companies. His products are part of the MoMA permanent collection and the Centre Georges-Pompidou in Paris.

FLOS was founded by Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina in 1962 in order to deliver contemporary lighting in accordance with their modern furniture designs. Their main guiding principles were "collaboration with the most inventive international designers and courage to be daring and provocative, yet uphold the fundamental principles of design". These guidelines are still relevant and can be traced in the entire Flos collection up until the company's latest designs.

From the very beginning FLOS has always been characterized by its high-quality approach towards design and but also towards production.

The result is a catalogue filled with iconic lighting objects that have changed the concept of illumination itself. Testament to this are the numerous awards, critical accolades and inclusions in all the major permanent collections and design museums around the world.

FLOS Lighting's production will continue to be imbued with various design trends that embody their attention to leading-edge research combined with highly-efficient production.

In 2012, FLOS celebrated half a century of excellence in production of designer lighting.
