The Fang table, by Design MVW (Virginie Moriette & Xu Ming), furnishes with functionality and elegance, offering materials with a strong personality and interesting contrasts of volume and thickness. Born from the idea of meeting and gathering together, these pieces express the concept that the table has always been a fundamental element of furniture and the centre of the home: an object of service and place of conviviality, with time it has been renewed, with increasing attention to style and materials.

Design MVW is an award-winning design services studio, born of 2 mixed culture designers and architects (Virginie Moriette & Xu Ming), totally involved in the actual reflection inspired by modern lifestyle. Their design constantly challenges the conventional use of space and function. Inspired by natural forms, timeless elements, and even contemporary art, each design embodies the blending of Eastern and Western traditions.

Chinese born designer Xu Ming is graduated from Penninghen School (ESAG) in Paris, France. He worked for Didier Gomez and Paul Andreu/ADPi before returning to China in 2004.
French born architect Virginie Moriette is graduated from the National Superior School of Architecture of ‘Paris La Villette’ (E.A.P.L.V.). After her graduate diploma she worked for Paul Andreu/ADPi on several prestigious large-scale projects such as the terminal of Dubai Airport and Qatar Emiri Pavilion. Virginie came to China in 2004 to work on Pudong Airport.

Together they established their studio, Design MVW, in 2006. Their respective background and culture is what influences them and makes them unique. For the duo the language of elegance transcends different cultures and connects contemporary Western and Chinese aesthetics and way of life.
Since its founding, the multidisciplinary studio specialized in architecture, art, interior and furniture designs for exclusive projects now in Asia and Europe, has won numerous awards and has been extensively covered in local and international media.
Their work has been exhibited in Amsterdam, Beijing, Chicago, London, Milan and Shanghai.

The pair’s designs follow Giorgetti’s values with a unique and timeless balance of function and aesthetics using serene and elegant proportions as well as subtle details.

Maximum quality, aesthetical innovation, ability in processing and "Made in Italy" are the historical prerogatives of Giorgetti, originally founded as an artisanal cabinetmaking laboratory in Meda, Brianza, in 1898.

The indisputable protagonist of Giorgetti furniture is solid wood, a natural material and often the hidden core of its objects. The company has distinguished itself on the design furniture scene not only for the high quality of its raw materials but also for its manual skills tradition and heritage.

Giorgetti creations fully embrace the concept of Conceived and Manufactured in Italy: starting from design, creativity and style, all the way to production, the entire process is Made in Italy. Moreover, the collections are known for their functionality and quality materials which guarantee a long life, as well as being made by production processes which are totally environmentally friendly.

The Giorgetti style is characterized by exclusivity and atypical uniqueness: the aim to create original and recognizable collections was the prerequisite which led the company to collaborate with professionals - architects, urban planners, intellectuals, artists - who had never considered designing furniture. A brave initiative which started at the end of the 80s and continues today, imparting an exclusive design to Giorgetti’s pieces. This choice is accompanied by a shared ideal that both the company and the designers fully embrace: to create "timeless" objects which never go out of fashion.

Giorgetti is like an art and history gallery of Made in Italy, with design, manual skill and over a hundred years of tradition; a standard on the furniture sector scene.

Dining table

Structure is in solid and veneer walnut canaletto wood, different options available for the insert in the top, the trays can be manually turned upside down to have the top totally plain, columns covered with leather, base profiles in metal lacquered in a bronze colour
